“We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents”

- Bob Ross

The Foreman Art Gallery's summer art camp returns this year with a new theme each week to capture the interest of our imaginative youth! With specialized art educators, campers discover the wealth of materials and techniques used by artists and explore themes such as STEM, waste management, urban vs. nature art, and mythology!

While trying their hand at different art forms, campers will learn about the work of traditional and contemporary artists. At the end of each week, campers share their creations in an exhibition at the Community Art Lab and the Foreman Art Gallery.

Located at Bishop's University, our summer art camp offers an inspirational setting with the opportunity to work in a real artist's studio, as well as access to the lush campus grounds and an outdoor pool!

The Foreman Art Gallery art camp is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow artistically. They are able to create exciting projects using various mediums. The art educators provide positive encouragement to the children making for a fun-filled week, located on such a beautiful campus! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her creative week!

Kids will be kids and this week will allow them to be just that. Using as inspiration the Gallery’s youth exhibition Ranger|Déranger, campers will have the chance to explore the curatorial process. As they create, explore and play with different forms of art, they will in turn be choosing how to assemble and present the artwork for Friday’s opening reception.

Forest Friends

Our earth is a spectacular place; why not learn more about it. This week will focus on issues such as climate change and animal conservation. We will explore how green artists incorporate these issues into their artwork and the potential art has to propose solutions.

A World of Imagination

We have seen the past, the present, and have even glimpsed the future. However, what we have yet to explore is the world of “imagination”.
